  • Hot Pot -> Sushi -> Bubble Tea

        Wow... rough night... It actually feels nice to finally unwind after being so stressed out with school for so long,; it's really the first time I've relaxed in what... months? Well, to all the guys (and the lovely gal) that I was with this evening, thanks for inviting me out for a breather. ^^

        The evening started off a bit hectic. I'm a pretty archaic guy in the technology department, so no cell phone. I think I wandered around for a few hours or so before finally bumping into William, Tony, and Carmen. It took almost too long; I swear I would've just ditched and gone home were I forced to wander for ten more minutes. But yeah, we met up, and things started looking very good from that point onward. :]

        The night was pretty tame. We stopped by EB for a bit, with Tony struggling to get Kirby moving in SSBB, and William and Carmen browsing games. It's kinda funny how Will's always bugging her for her CFW-ed PSP. Honestly, you're either a very lazy man, or you're too scared of bricking your own PSP. :P

        After that, we ran into Chris and Peter (both looking pretty sharp), and went into a random clothing shop to... shop (ugh). I'm not big on clothes. Anyone who knows me will vouch for me on that. At least we got out of there quickly though. :x

        Some more wandering later, Will decided he'd "get food tonight," so we all moved over to the Top Gun Hot Pot at Crystal Mall (well, Tony and I actually tagged along with Chris to withdraw some cash from the VanCity banks... but that was a crapshoot and ended up wasting our time). Will, Carmen, and Peter decided they'd move Peter's car closer to Crystal, so we waited outside while guests flooded in like an ant swarm. Kyle ended up arriving, and we chatted for a bit, mostly about school, gas, and other random stories that Chris was hiding behind his glasses. :3

        Well, eventually Top Gun closed, and we all moseyed on over across the street to Sushi Garden, except for Chris and Peter who insisted on eating alone at the Cactus Club. But yeah, the meals were pretty good; I liked the California Roll combo and the Fish Rolls. Lots of laughs were had (I think we remember why), and there were random spurts of "getting food tonight" and even Iron Man/Titanic. Good times indeed. ^^

        After dinner (10:00 PM dinner no less), we all headed to Bubble World, and let me say they have some bullshit policies there. A minimum charge of $3.00 per person who eats in... WTF? But yeah... My Milky Hot Chocolate Tea was quite nice; chopsticks make fabulous stir sticks. Will chickened out on the deep fried tofu he ordered though, so Carmen and I picked up the slack (I swear, that's proof she's more manly than he is). There were more discussions of our prospective futures, some bacteria scare that had Chris shitting bricks over infected sashimi, Will playing Jump Ultimate Stars on his R4, and yeah. Probably one of the better moments of the night. :]

        We ended up leaving at half past midnight. No worries though, since I'm not waking up 'till 11:00 AM tomorrow earliest. I've still got a lot of projects/work to finish for next week, but that was a nice evening. I'd say it was well worth it, and probably my best night out in a long while. Thanks guys and girl. ;D

  • Now that's fine customer service!

        Last month, I placed a pre-order for Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword for the Nintendo DS on Electronics' Boutique/GameStop, and I received it last Friday. Now, since I pre-ordered it, I was expecting the pre-order bonus, a cute little dragon sword stylus and wrist strap deally that'd pimp out my DS quite a bit. Sadly to say, there was a mistake, and my Ninja Gaiden arrived without its utensil packed. T_T

        Obviously, I was mad. Considering I bought the game for the stylus, I wasn't hesitant to return it to get most of my money back. One of their customer service reps, Valerie, assured me that I'd get the bonus or something to make up for their oversight. Lo and behold what I received today in the mail. v.v

        Now THAT, is some quality customer service right there. I'd thought most EB employees were utter crap (based on horror stories on message boards), but this was actually a pleasant surprise. Now I can finally un-shrinkwrap my game, and enjoy it the way it's supposed to be enjoyed! ^^;;

        But first, the BCIT Open House needs to be dealt with... I'm gone... >_>

  • Art Attack - Dual Spirits!

        Hiyo. Haven't been online much, on account of laziness (... I'm honest), forgetting my password, school (specifically BCIT's Open House next week), and a lot of other stuff. But I figure it's a good day to post again. ^^

        That star background is pretty, but it's not big enough. So I've made a new one at 1280x960. I'm not sure if there's too many big stars right now, but it looks pretty good, and at least fills my monitor (:P). Oh! And there's another bunch of random Photoshoppage I've shelled out too. Take a look. ;D

        Featured are Sheena Etranzi and Lucia of Contra fame. They just ooze hotness, I mean seriously. Chicks in skimpy outfits with big guns blasting alien slime = win. I'd tap Sheena. That "come and get it" look just cries out to me. Lucia on the other hand... she'd probably break me in half that crazy Bio-roid. She's got that whole "touch me, and you'll never touch anything again" vibe, sorta like Trinity from The Matrix Reloaded. :S

        I recently stumbled upon a Japanese artist's site where he redraws well-known male fighting/action game characters as females, and well... the results are a mixed bag. There was one in particular that drew my attention though, and that would be this one. ^^;;

        Oh yeah. Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske of Guilty Gear fame, feminized. I'm torn honestly. On the one hand, they're both pretty hot. On the other, they're supposed to be guys. *Sigh* The curse of being a straight male in this crazy, mixed up world... >_>

        Other than that, my new courses at school have been pretty cool so far. 2450 is awesome. Our instructor, Mr. Vaso, has this cool Russian accent, and he records himself speaking out demonstration instructions and plays them back to us during our labs. That is genious. Not having to waste your breath on six sets saying the same thing over and over is awesome. 2402 (or whatever Estimating is) isn't too bad either. The math isn't too demanding. Speaking of which, Statistics is a lot more mellow than Math from 1st term. Stella's still as thick as ever with her speech, but meh. :/

        That does it for me. Open House is creeping up, and time's a wastin'! D:

  • I FUCKING HATE the RSBC

        Don't you hate it when Revenue Services of British Columbia says "hi" by dumping a $400 bill on your doorstep? I know I fucking do.

        You'd think they'd have received the letter my dad sent to them MONTHS ago, stating that I was still going to school at BCIT, and that I was being put back into their medical plan. Funny how that works though. They tell me they've "received it" when I call to settle this, but they're still going to charge for the time that I WASN'T on my parent's medical plan ($270).

        God, that is FUCKING BULLSHIT.

        The worst part is I'm a goddamn moron. A February 1st (Friday) due date for a $400 $270 bill doesn't sit well though, so I paid it off like an idiot. Gotta love how credit cards are such convenient pieces of shit these days... abso-fucking-lutely no thought process involved whatsoever.

        Why the fuck do these people feel the need to bother ME, of all people? Surely there's some other poor schmuck that's got an even heftier bill than I do. Why not bug that piece of shit instead? Piece of crap RSBC can go to hell...

        I'm done pissing and moaning. Go do something more productive with your time now.

  • Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles

        If one needs reassuring that nobody has a life outside of school between September and April/June... just look at the date of this entry, and compare it with the one below. O=

        In a word, scary. :S

        But yes, I'm still alive. School is dealing out some royal ownage at the moment, what with the concrete foundations, Roofer's/Hero's Formulae, and crappy test marks. I just hope I can still pass and move onto next term... don't particularly want to be held back to repeat this shit again. ==b

        Other than school and work, not much has really happened. However, I have been keeping track of a few games that've been coming out, and I finally got my meat hooks on one I've been dying to see. Check it out:

        Oh yeah, sing to me baby! KonamiStyle Limited Edition rocks! I'm still waiting for the poster, but what's here is wicked sick (looks at UT2k4 announcer)! The artbook is actually hard cover, unlike the Portrait of Ruin 20th Anniversary Pre-order Bonus, and that PSP pouch in the first shot is made of some very fine material. It's actually hilarious that the PSP game case can fit in the pouch. :D

        I really need to import more often; the east side folks get the better end of the stick most of the time. So many exclusives, like the FFIV DS, FF: Crisis Core PSP, and loads of other random ridiculous things never see the light of day across the ocean on our shores. This... is SUPER SPECIAL AWESOME! xDDD

        Oh, and for the foo-elles that don't know what all the hub-ub is, take a look at this:

        That's all for now, I'm gone. :]
